Nightlife in Cayman Islands mainly revolves around a number of nightclubs, bars, and comedy clubs. Grand Cayman is recognized for its fine bars and pubs. A number of nightclubs in the Cayman Islands play American and Caribbean music. On arriving, you can consult the local publications for the latest listings, which include the Key To Cayman, What to Do and Destination Cayman.

The monthly magazine What's Hot is distributed free of cost all over the islands, and the ‘What's Happenin' section in the Friday issue of the local newspaper and the Caymanian Compass, offer the best source of information as regards nightlife and special events.

The most famous local bands often perform at The Planet Nightclub and sometimes at other venues as well. A variety of locations have The Gary Ebanks band performing Jazz weekly during ‘Happy Hours'. Some of the other famous bands are CMX-5, Lammie, Acts, Gone Country, Hi-Tide, Mainstream and Blue Steel.

The Matrix nightclub and Bobo's Iguana, down Seven Mile Beach are particularly famous among young locals and tourists. Every night, the music played at these pubs includes hip-hop, calypso, reggae, salsa and meringue. Some nights might even feature live bands. Other well-known clubs and bars in the Cayman Islands are Illusions, Legends, Jungle, Club Inferno, West Bay Polo Club, and Next Level. The Link's at Safehaven Club House, The Westin, the Hyatt Regency, and Decker's 269, all often play live music. At night, you can also visit the Coconuts Comedy Club at Captain Morgan's in the West Shore shopping center or Chuckles at West Bay Polo Club.

On Cayman Brac, the nightlife mainly includes the rare weekend dances performed by local bands, community events such as talent shows and other theater and musical concerts.
