Punda's Breedestraat and Otrobanda's Breedestraat are the major shopping localities and are always crowded with tourists. Many cruise ship passengers also land up here at different times of the day.

You are bound to come across many shops on the Punda side, mainly at the Waterfort Arches on the harbor front. If you are accommodating yourself in one of the luxury hotels, then you can also shop at the stores inside the hotel complex.

If you are on Breedestraat on the Punda side, try Boolchand's store for good quality cameras and electronic equipment. You could visit Little Holland, where you can buy fine cigars and Eccolet for exclusive shoes for men and women.

You surely can't miss out on Little Switzerland for watches, china, leather goods, and jewelry. You can also shop in one of the most interesting stores in Curacao, J.L. Penha and Sons. This is a huge department store, which houses a great selection of jewelry, perfumes, and electronic equipment.

Many tourists prefer shopping from this part of the island because it is actually a duty-free shopping place. This section is situated between the zone of Punda and Otrobanda.

The downtown and historic areas in Curacao are the most pleasant places for visitors to shop because they get to enjoy the history of the area alongside purchasing local handicrafts and day-to-day requirements.

The New Market and Old Market are preferred spots where tourists visit in order to shop for groceries during their stay in Curacao. The Floating Market is also a nice place to shop and purchase household commodities.

If you are looking for a large shopping environment, then Punda is the place to visit. This is the city's commercial center that houses plenty of shops offering an assortment of products like apparels, footwear, cosmetics, jewelry, perfumes, electronics and souvenirs.

Breedestraat is the main shopping street in Otrobanda's.

You will also see some small shopping centers, located in and around the island. They are mostly open on Sunday mornings.
