Besides kebab shops and pizza stands, dining in Denmark can be quite pricey, however, you are bound to enjoy the cuisine, which is most certainly a worthwhile affair. Smorrebrod is an extremely popular traditional Danish dish that is often savored during lunchtime. It comprises of a slice of dark bread with butter, topped with slices of meat, fish or cheese.
Smorrebrod served on special occasions, in lunch restaurants, or bought in lunch takeaway stores, are piled higher than the daily fare. Buffet-style lunch, which is known as the koldt bord, is well liked with an assortment of fish, meats, hot dishes, cheese and sweets.
An ordinary Danish breakfast known as morgen-complet, includes coffee or tea and a variety of breads, rolls, jam and cheese, also sliced meats, boiled eggs and warm Danish pastries.

- You get a generous portion of shrimps with a little mayonnaise.
- Ost, Cheese. Choose to try a very old cheese that is served with raw onions, egg yolks, and rum.
