Recreation

Denmark has numerous recreational activities to keep the visitors busy all through their trip. It is specifically considered to be an ideal place for cycling, with more than thousands of kilometers of well-known bicycle routes. Swimming, surfing and yachting are other preferred activities and so is fishing in the thriving streams all along the well-stocked coast.

Cycling

Horse riding

In order to hire horses you can visit the riding schools and centers, which are located almost in every nook and corner of Denmark. Many riding schools also offer riding holiday tours.

Denmark's spectacular beaches and coastline

Denmark coastline puts on view some of the oldest rocks in the world in a tumble of boulders, crevices, reefs, bays and pools.

Ocean Beach

This beach is absolutely excellent for surfing, walking, bird watching and swimming or you can simply enjoy the breathtaking the scenery.

Lowlands beach

Water sports

The outstretched bay and protected shores on the Danish coast provide tourists with easy conditions for windsurfing and are thus, particularly suitable for beginners.

Facilities for sailing are outstanding. There are more than 500 yachting harbors, which you will find along the coast and anchorage is allowed on further 500 islands. Detailed handbooks and marine charts are available for tourists' information.
