40 Vacations - Travel Guides - Destination Ecuador
Nightlife
You will notice that during the entire week, most people of Ecuador stay indoors. However, the party week starts from Thursday night and continues throughout the weekend.
Loja, the first city of Ecuador, offers a variety of evening entertainment. The party scene ranges from mellow bars to lively discotecas (discotheques).
The nightlife in Ecuador differs from other cities where you have discos and pubs that rock until dawn. Nightlife, here, ranges from serious salsa to raves and from classy English style pubs to karaoke beer bars. The bars in Ecuador close at 2 or 3 o'clock in the morning. However, following the footsteps of other cities, certain discothèques in Ecuador too stay open until dawn.
