Water sports are a major form of recreation on the island. There are several yacht and boating clubs that extend their facilities for the visitors to pick up the skills and techniques of the sporting event. Swimming is facilitated by Es Raspallar swimming pool. Most hotels with star ratings have the facility of swimming pools with resident trainers. The adventurous tourists also favor swimming in the sea and required facilities for the same are made available.

The water around Ibiza is very clear and thus, provides ideal conditions for snorkeling. Equipments required for this sport can be hired locally via various sources. Paragliding is another water sport that has caught the fancy of many a tourist visiting this place. Waters of San Antonio bay are the perfect spot for trying out this sport.

Tennis is a favorite game among the tourists and hence, most tourist centers have attached tennis courts to cater their visitors' interests. There are resident coaches in most of these hotels to teach the game to the novice players.

Both the locals and the visitors to this place play a great deal of golf. Golf Ibiza is the only golf course here, however it is unique from the usual golf links as its 18 holes are very difficult and pose a challenge to even the best of players. There is also a 9-hole course for learners and their practice sessions.

Football is also a popular sport and CE Eivissa and Pene Deortiva are the famous football teams of Ibiza.

Gymnasiums and health clubs have flourished all over the island and are all equipped with weight rooms, saunas, Jacuzzis and host of other outfits that provide proper care and upkeep of their bodies. Gimnasio Fraile is one of the most popular gyms here, which offers service of body builders and professional trainers to their customers.

There are amusement arcades to keep the kids busy and enjoy themselves. The adults can sit down to watch the wonderful panorama of a beach sunrise or sunset, with a drink and snack in the mean time.

It is possible to hire a scooter for 25 euros a day on the island. This is a great way to explore the island and go to far-flung areas that are not part of the main route.
