1. Air
The airport is about 7 km from central Ibiza. The major airlines include Aer Lingus, Air 2000, Air Berlin, Britannia Airways, Condor, Air One, Air Nostrum, Air Europa, Blue Panorama Airlines, Martinair Holland, Sobenair, Monarch Airlines, Spanair and Volare Airlines. The airport charges a departure tax of about $ 14. The airport also offers several facilities such as coffee shops, cafeterias and specialty shops.
2. Bus
If you are looking for an inexpensive mode of transport then buses are the best options. The prices are subject to the distance traveled and vary between $ 1.34 to $ 2,30. The starting point of the bus for the town of Ibiza is ‘Avinguda Isidor Macabich 24' which is a large connecting road near the port. You can get a bus from here to the airport after every hour. You should explore the island by bus only after gathering all the information about timings of the buses either from the tourist information offices or the timetable at the starting point. For traveling by bus, you need to have a ticket only from the designated travel office.
3. Car
Cars can also be taken on rent in Ibiza. In most of the places, car renters charge around 200 euros or $255 a week for hiring a car. For hiring a car, you need to present a driving license, passport and around 50-60 euros or $ 63 to $ 75 of cash deposit (incase you are making the payment in cash) Car reservations can be made even prior to your arrival. Ibiza has strict rules as far as the parking of cars is concerned. Strict parking controls are applied. Payment has to be made for parking the car in the Blue Zone between 9 am to 2 pm and 5 pm to 10 pm. UC Rent a Car and BK Rent a Car are two of the reputed car rental services operating on the island.
4. Ferry
Ferries are used by many visitors to bring their vehicles to Ibiza. Regular ferry crossings are available between Ibiza and Formentera and the journey between the two destinations takes about 45 minutes. Express ferries are also available to lessen the travel time. The two main ferry ports are in Ibiza Town and San Antonio.
5. Ship
There are several cruise liners that dock at Ibiza. Most of these cruises set sail from major Spanish ports.
6.Taxi
Taxis are easily available from the city center and busy areas. During rush hours, visitors may have to wait in queue to hail a cab. Two taxi travel tariffs are available namely Urban Tariff and Intermediate Urban Tariff. The former applies when the departure place and destination is within the same municipality/city and the latter is applicable where the destination is outside the municipality or the city of departure.
Urban tariff: During the day, the minimum price is 1.90 euro or $ 2.43 while at night between 9 pm to 6 am; it is 2.80 euros or $ 3.58
Intermediate Urban Tariff: The minimum price is 1 euro or $ 1.27. During the day it is 2.80 euro or $ 3.58 while at night between 9 pm to 6 am it is 4.60 euros or $ 5.88
