Nightlife
The pub in Ireland is considered to be the central meeting point where the Irish people meet after a long day's work, discuss business issues, make new friends and share jokes. The pub also functions as one of the major elements of the Irish nightlife. Earlier, the Irish pubs could not be open legally after 11:30pm leading to a number of unwanted consequences with people trying to consume as much as possible within the limited opening hours. However, pubs, now, have been allowed to remain open till 1.00am on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays while the rest of the week they need to follow the previous timing of 11pm. The nightclub hours have also been extended from 2am to 3am. The extended hours have thus, solved the problem of hundreds of party going people who love to engage in heavy drinking and late night outs. Dublin has one of the most exciting nightlife cultures in the whole of Europe. The range of options available to spend an exciting night out in Dublin includes the traditional Irish pubs, trendy nightclubs, and hot and happening international bars flocked by renowned celebrities. The nightlife of Galway and Cork is dominated mostly by the students with an ever youthful and vibrant atmosphere including some great music hosted in most of the reputed venues.
Also worth visiting is the Temple Bar area that has a concentration of a number of nightclubs, trendy bars and pubs to set the mood for dancing and partying all night through.
