Hotels
Hotels in Jamaica come in large varieties based on their comfort levels, amenities, and tariffs. Many of the establishments are set up as garden retreats i.e. they are placed within artificially planted greenery and are designed to put customers in a nature-loving mood within the cities. A few others achieve the same aim but are located within the natural forests of the region. These are the forest houses and lodges. Some of the other hotels are beach resorts that center themselves around sea and beach activities so that guests are always close to the water and can rent snorkeling, diving and surfing equipments from the hotel itself.
Most hotels have afternoon check in timings and check out is generally done at night for the convenience of guests' flight timings. Very few hotels allow pet hence, guests are advised to check with the hotel authorities regarding pet policies in advance.
Since Jamaica is a honeymooner's paradise, many hotels are dedicated only to serving the vacationing couples.
As always, hotels near the beaches are generally more expensive than those away.
