Dining

You are most likely to be surprised with the number of high-quality and diverse restaurants that Prague features.

Prague has a huge selection in restaurants.

The best place in town for restaurants is the Jewish Quarter, precisely on Parizska Street. You must try the delicious Asian-fusion at a restaurant called Barock. This place will surely tempt you with its trendy decor, along with delicious food and great service.

As compared to other cities and countries, dining in Prague is quite different for the simple reason that you have a lot of options among restaurants but the prices are much higher.

The staff and waiters speak in English. If you closely observe the ambience is quite cosmopolitan.

Traditionally heavy and hearty meals have been devised to keep warm in the cold climate of Prague. Dough, meat, and potatoes are the staple foods of traditional Czech cuisine.

Most of the traditional entrees are served with beer, and indeed, soulful Czech food, like a combination of pork, dumplings, and sauerkraut (Veproknedlozelo), will be enjoyed well with a glass of cold Pilsner Urquell.

Just incase if you enter a Czech traditional cuisine restaurant you are bound to see a number of bread dumplings, rich butter sauces, cream, eggs and animal fats.

One good thing from the rest of the places is that most major cuisines are available in the city. This includes French, Italian, Japanese, Indian and Mexican cuisine restaurants.

Menus are printed in German and English.

Photos are also printed to show how the dish will look

Credit cards are now widely accepted.

Other restaurants at the top of the Czech fine dining scene are:

- Kampa Park - here you can expect top quality food, in a wonderful location, and also top prices. This is the place where you will find all the celebrities coming to dine.

- La Perle de Prague - another nice place to dine, which also provides you with a view of Prague castle.

- Mlynec - while dining at this restaurant you can observe the view of the Charles Bridge.

- Alchymist - this place serves extremely tasty and wholesome food.
