- Passport/Visa Requirements: US nationals require a valid passport and visa, which is recognized for multiple entries. Visas are to be used within 90 days of being issued. UK passport holders do not need a visa for business or holiday travel for a stay of up to 90 days. They do need to present a valid passport. For Canadians, the requirements are similar to the Americans. All tourists must ensure that their passports are valid for the time they intend to stay in Rio. Along with passport and visa, they need to show ample funds to last through their stay, a return or onward ticket and documentation needed for further travel plans.
