The Turks & Caicos Island is a unique destination owing to the composure and serenity of its milieu. It has a wide range of antics to choose from and this makes it an ideal holiday destination. This isle is legendary for its snorkeling and scuba diving activities and one place apt for carrying them out is the Grace Bay Beach or at Smith's Reef. Other than water sports there are an assortment of other activities to opt for.

Fishing

The waters off the shore of Turks and Caicos contain some of the best fish of the world. The island holds 2 most important fishing tournaments annually for amateurs as well as people dexterous in fishing. Marlins and groupers are the common types of fish found here. There are also several charters on the island of Providenciales that take tourists fishing.

Golfing

The Provo Golf Club is a popular hangout for golf lovers, it consists of a 18 hole golf course, clubhouse containing a Fairways Bar and Grill, Pro Shop, tennis courts, fitness center etc. Tee times must be made in advance, as this place is quite popular.

Miniature Golf

Providenciales also holds miniature golf, which is an 18-hole golf course. There is a shuttle that brings you to the golf course from your hotel and back. The golf course even caters drinks and grilled food. This miniature golf course is open all days a week.

Charter Boats

There are some places wherein tourists can rent their own boat to explore the island of Turks and Caicos at their own pace. Tourists are well instructed beforehand and given maps and life jackets to ensure safety. Some tour operators also provide a beach umbrella and cooler.

Sailing Excursions

Sail Provo provides the penultimate sailing perspicacity. Sailing and snorkeling can be enjoyed on catamarans of different sizes. There are several options to choose from including the family tour, which lasts for nearly 2 hours. The 4-hour cruise includes snorkeling and a stopover at Little Water Cay as well as at Half Moon Bay for lunch.

Biking

Trade winds lend free bikes for tourists to explore the island and one should take extreme care while riding, as some of the roads are not paved.

Parasailing

All age groups can enjoy parasailing and one can view the breath-taking splendor of the island from the height of nearly 450 feet. Around 3 people can be admitted at a time and private bookings to accommodate one entire family can be made.

Caving

Captain Bill and the Ocean Outback will take you on an adventure that will blow your mind away. They take you to explore a pirate's cave adorned with some 200-year-old carvings and then proceed towards a secluded beach for barbeque; they might even drop you off there to camp overnight if you wish. There are several other operators who will take tourists to explore the Lucayan Indian caves situated in the middle of Caicos. These caves are thought to be over 130,000 years old and filled with bat caverns.

Helmet Diving

This is another underwater activity and it is open to ages of 8 years and above. It is safe and fully directed by professionals. However, knowing how to swim is essential. It is one unique exploration to be savored.

Horseback Riding

There are 2 stables situated on the island, for the tourists to take up riding. Provo Pony offers 2 rides a day of 45 to 80 minutes but remains closed on Sundays. These rides are usually along the deserted south shore of Long Beach.

Undersea Explorer

This semi-submarine that operates off Turtle Cove dock twice a day, seven days a week, is a wonderful experience and no special equipment is required for the same. This exploration is just 5 feet under water and can carry at least 16 passengers of all ages and physical ability. It surveys the corals of the island of Providenciales.
