There are a host of excellent hotels in Venezuela, with Caracas being home to the most expensively priced hotels in the country. Many smaller hotels are also available all over the country. It is necessary to make bookings at these as also the larger international hotels well in advance. You can find hotel accommodation in all price ranges in Venezuela. There are quite a few large, all-inclusive hotels on Isla de Margarita. Very few hotels charge their published and advertised rack price.

Hotels do not include a service charge and there is little variation in seasonal rates. However, you may be able to get good deals in the off-season and midweek. You can bargain, particularly if you are booking directly by phone, fax, or the Internet. Hotels outside Caracas are likely to be cheaper but their standards may not be as high. Venezuela hotels are rated as 3-star to 5-star. There are inexpensive hotels in Caracas, mainly in the Sabana Grande area which caters to tourists and budget travelers.
